The Cat Returns

High schooler Haru Yoshioka feels trapped in her dull, everyday life. One day, she rescues Prince Lune of the Cat Kingdom from an oncoming truck. In return, the Cat King sends her strange "gifts" and invites her to his realm to marry Lune. Due to her struggles in speaking with cats, Haru accidentally gives the impression she accepts the proposal. Desperate to escape the situation, Haru hears a mysterious voice telling her to find the Cat Bureau. But before she can make sense of it, a swarm of cats bursts in, dragging her and a bureau member away to the Cat Kingdom. Baron Humbert von Gikkingen, the bureau's owner, follows, worried for their safety. As Haru spends more time in the Cat Kingdom, she starts turning into a cat herself. She realizes that unless she can remember who she truly is, she’ll be stuck as a cat forever. Through her journey in this strange world, Haru learns more about herself and returns home with newfound confidence.
