Mitsuha Miyamizu is a high school girl stuck in her quiet rural town, longing for the excitement of Tokyo. In the city, Taki Tachibana balances school, a part-time job, and dreams of becoming an architect. One morning, Mitsuha wakes up in an unfamiliar room-somehow, she’s living as Taki in Tokyo. At the same time, Taki finds himself in Mitsuha’s body, experiencing her simple life in the countryside. Confused but determined, they start looking for each other, hoping to unravel the mystery behind their sudden body swap.
