Chocchan's Story
This film is based on the autobiography of Cho "Chocchan" Kuroyanagi, best known as the mother of actress Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. The story begins in pre-World War II Japan, where Chocchan marries a violinist despite their families' objections. They struggle with poverty but raise three children together, facing hardships with optimism. Their happiness is tested when war breaks out and Chocchan's husband is sent to the front.
