Howl's Moving Castle

The strange, clanking castle-a mess of steam, smoke, and creaking metal-is home to the infamous wizard Howl, known as much for his magic as for his reputation with women, or so the gossip goes in Sophie Hatter's quiet town. Sophie, the unremarkable daughter of a hatmaker, expects little from life and is resigned to her humble work in the shop. But her dull routine is upended when she gets caught in a frightening encounter, only to be saved by the enigmatic Howl. This fleeting moment draws the attention of the vain and spiteful Witch of the Waste, who-still bitter over past conflicts with Howl-curses Sophie in a jealous rage, transforming her into an old woman. To break the curse, Sophie must journey with Howl and his odd companions-including a fiery demon and a bouncing scarecrow-inside his walking castle, all while their kingdom is torn apart by war.
