Three decades ago, flame-wielding mutants known as "Burnish" emerged without warning, devastating much of humanity. Since then, random Burnish outbreaks have continued, leaving destruction in their wake. Promepolis, an autonomous republic, has thrived under the leadership of Kray Foresight, who has led the fight against the Burnish. The firefighting team Burning Rescue combats these deadly threats using cutting-edge technology, developed by their brilliant mechanic, Lucia Fex. Among them is Galo Thymos, a spirited rookie who idolizes Foresight for saving his life. When the terrorist faction Mad Burnish rampages across the nation, Galo clashes with their leader, Lio Fotia. This confrontation sends him on a journey to uncover the truth about the Burnish-a truth that will challenge everything he believes.
