In the study of dream symbolism, seeing a dragon is said to reflect the fear of being consumed by rage. Souya Kuroi wakes from a nightmare where a colossal dragon bathes the world in rainbow fire-only to find reality just as unsettling. After learning his parents died in a bizarre accident and his memories are gone, the dream is all he has left. Now, he depends on his two odd caretakers: the lively maid Ginko and a giant cat called "Sensei." His fragile new routine shatters when a UFO shaped like a teddy bear attacks Saromisaka City. The military fails to stop it, but seven mysterious figures emerge and obliterate the invader with bursts of rainbow light-identical to the flames from Souya’s dream. Once the alien threat is gone, these so-called heroes face an unexpected enemy: Souya himself. Convinced they destroyed his past, he vows revenge. What follows is a battle that stretches far beyond Earth, pulling him into a conflict of cosmic scale.
