My Sister Momoko
Momoko is a mentally and physically disabled girl who attends a special school. Each morning, she grows upset because she can’t go to the same school as her twin brother, Riki. To comfort her, her family sings her favorite song, "The Song of Frogs." One day, during an open classroom event, Momoko cheers for Riki as he plays dodgeball, and his team wins. Ryuji, a boy from the losing team, angrily tells Riki to stop bringing his "idiot sister" to school. Enraged, Riki punches Ryuji with all his strength. The next year, an integrated education program begins, and Momoko finally gets to attend Riki’s school. However, her health declines, and she’s hospitalized. Determined to lift her spirits, Riki and their classmates aim to win a relay race so they can share the good news with her. But Ryuichi, the fastest runner, refuses to join the race.
