Magnet Robot Gakeen
Dr. Kazuki, a scientist who foresaw an invasion by the Izaru race, constructs a robot using magnetism and sphere joint theory. His daughter Mai undergoes a risky augmentation procedure to become the pilot of "Mighty," also known as "Magnetman Minus," while Takeshi Houjou pilots "Puraiza," or "Magnetman Plus." To activate their super robot, Gakeen (short for "Gathering Keen"),the two pilots embrace and physically merge, their bodies transforming into a metallic plate that locks onto the robot's frame, allowing it to move and fight. The sequence, with its suggestive undertones, stood out to older viewers for its near-sexual imagery.
