Knights of Sidonia - S02

After narrowly surviving a deadly encounter with a massive Gauna-at the cost of many lives-Kobayashi, the captain of the Sidonia, shifts her political stance. Once she takes full control, she sets out to wipe out the Gauna in the Lem system, where former Sidonia colonists have settled. Her plan hinges on two key advancements: powerful long-range weapons designed to fight the Gauna, and the creation of Tsumugi Shiraui, the first human-Gauna hybrid with devastating combat abilities. Despite growing distrust toward chimeras and doubts about her risky military campaign, Kobayashi recruits elite pilot Nagate Tanikaze for support. Tanikaze, shaped by his past encounters with Shizuka Hoshijiro and Benisuzume's placenta, forms a deep connection with Tsumugi. As humanity prepares for its ultimate battle, Tanikaze savors his final peaceful moments with his friend Izana Shinatose-unaware that Kobayashi is secretly developing an experimental weapon that might bring about Sidonia's ruin.
