KADO: The Right Answer - S01

Koujirou Shindou is a calm, logical government official with a strong reputation as a skilled negotiator. While boarding a flight for a work trip, a massive cube suddenly appears in the sky, swallowing his plane intact into its seemingly impenetrable structure. As Japanese officials scramble to analyze the cube’s origins and capabilities, Shindou meets an otherworldly being named Yaha-kui zaShunina, who takes the form of a human man. He reassures Shindou that the passengers are safe and asks for his help in negotiating with humanity. Yaha-kui zaShunina comes from a higher-dimensional realm called Novo and uses a cube known as Kado to exchange information between his world and ours. Despite possessing incomprehensible power, he shows no signs of aggression. Instead, he declares a single purpose for his arrival: to "advance" humanity-beginning with Japan.
