Brilliant scientist Sōzō Haran was working on Mars when he developed the Meganoids, advanced cyborgs capable of self-aware thought. But his creation turned against him-the Meganoids killed him and nearly his entire family, sparing only his youngest son, 16-year-old Banjō Haran. Banjō fled Mars in a rocket, taking with him Daitarn 3, a solar-powered giant robot. Now 18 and living on Earth, Banjō battles the Meganoids and their leader, Don Zauser. To stop their plan of forcibly converting humanity into cyborgs in the name of "improvement," Banjō must rally allies against the growing threat.
