Inu-Oh
After retrieving an ancient sword from the waters where the Heike clan met their end at Dan-no-ura, Tomona is left blind and fatherless. With little else to turn to, he masters the biwa and joins a renowned troupe of storytellers, adopting the name "Tomoichi." One day, he encounters a peculiar man who delights in frightening others with his twisted appearance. But the blind musician shows him kindness, treating him as an equal. The two quickly form a bond, and when the stranger-now calling himself "Inu-Ou"-realizes he can hear the voices of Heike spirits sharing lost tales, they begin performing together. Renaming himself Tomoari, the musician supports Inu-Ou's underground dance performances with his melodies, earning them widespread acclaim. Yet their bold, unconventional art clashes with the rigid traditions upheld by the shogunate. As their fame grows, they find themselves at odds with the forces of a society unwilling to change.
