Hikaru no Go - S01

While exploring his grandfather's attic, Hikaru Shindou finds an ancient go board. As he touches it, a strange voice speaks to him, and he passes out. When he wakes up, he realizes the voice belongs to Fujiwara no Sai, the ghost of a master go player from the Heian period. Sai once taught go to the Emperor, and his love for the game is so strong that even death couldn't stop him from playing. Now, he hopes to reach the pinnacle of go-a legendary technique no one has ever mastered-by using Hikaru as his vessel. Though Hikaru has no interest in board games, he humors Sai and plays as directed. But when he meets Akira Touya, a brilliant young go prodigy, something changes. Akira's skill sparks a fire in Hikaru, pushing him to take the game seriously. What starts as a reluctant partnership with Sai becomes the beginning of Hikaru's own journey into the world of go.
