Hikaru no Go

Hikaru Shindo is an ordinary twelve-year-old until he discovers an old go board while digging through his grandfather’s belongings. When he touches it, the ghost of Fujiwara no Sai emerges. Sai was once a go instructor for the emperor a thousand years ago, but after being falsely accused of cheating by a dishonest opponent, he was exiled. With no way to survive, he drowned himself, leaving his spirit bound to the board. Now, Sai wants to achieve the ultimate go move, known as the "Hand of God," by playing through Hikaru. Whether Hikaru can-or even wants to-help him fulfill this dream remains to be seen.
