HEROMAN - S01

Joey Jones, a shy but kind-hearted boy, lives with his grandmother in Center City, California, working at a coffee shop to help make ends meet. Despite financial struggles and bullying at school, he keeps a positive attitude. His biggest dream is to own a Heybo, a high-end toy robot he admires. One day, Joey and his friend Simon "Psy" Kaina find a broken Heybo thrown away by wealthy kids. Joey takes it home, fixes it up, and names it Heroman. Later that night, lightning strikes Heroman, bringing it to life and causing it to grow to a massive size. At the same time, Center City comes under attack by alien invaders called the Skrugg. Their arrival was triggered by Professor Matthew Denton, Joey’s acquaintance, who had tried to contact them. Joey and Heroman rush to the scene, where they find Joey’s friend Lina Davis and her father in danger. Using a wrist controller, Joey commands Heroman to fight off the Skrugg and save civilians. As the aliens escalate their invasion, Joey and Heroman stand as Earth’s last line of defense.
