In the distant future, Earth's population declined after reaching its peak. To preserve humanity and manage the ecosystem, AI was created to oversee a vast experiment in human diversity. Using genetic engineering, the AI produced a wide variety of peoples-beastfolk, magical beings, and others-who lived in a sprawling city divided into walled-off "clusters." Each cluster developed its own distinct culture, shaped by the people who lived there. The AI maintains both their lives and the system itself, ensuring the survival of this carefully balanced world.
