Though the Decepticons have left Earth, a handful of Autobot Pretenders stay behind as a precaution. Led by Metalhawk-who goes by "Hawk" in his human guise-they blend in with society using their Pretender shells to take on human forms. Their vigilance proves necessary when Decepticon Pretenders emerge, following a shadowy leader known as Devil Z. As tensions rise, both sides expand their ranks by enlisting humans to become Junior Headmasters and Godmasters (also called Powermasters).
