They Were Eleven

The Interstellar Alliance brought peace to most of the universe and founded the Cosmo Academy, the most prestigious school in existence. Graduates are practically guaranteed any career they want, but admission is brutally competitive-exams are held only once every three years. Lane Tadatos, a Terran, has made it to the final stage of the entrance exams. Along with nine others, he’s sent to the stranded ship Esperanza. Their final test is simple: survive 53 days on board with no outside contact, except for an emergency forfeit button. But when the group takes a headcount, they realize something’s wrong. There are eleven people on the ship-meaning one of them doesn’t belong.
