The Sky Crawlers

In an alternate world where nations no longer fight, wars are fought between corporations instead. Yuuichi Kannami, a newly assigned fighter pilot in Area 262, quietly carries out his duties. But as he settles into his new base, unsettling questions begin to surface. Through Kannami’s perspective, "The Sky Crawlers" explores the strange reality of the "Kildren"-genetically modified humans who remain eternal teenagers with heightened reflexes-and the enigmatic ace pilot called "Teacher," who once flew before him. Yet the biggest mystery of all is the connection between these secrets and the base commander, Suito Kusanagi. The truth lies hidden in Area 262, but uncovering it may cost Kannami more than he bargained for.
