The Imaginary

Amanda’s bright imagination gave life to Rudger, an imaginary friend only she can see or hear. They share endless adventures in the attic above her mother’s bookshop, bound by three promises: never vanish, always keep each other safe, and never shed a tear. But their world is shattered when a strange man named Mr. Bunting arrives, trailed by a ghostly girl only they can see. He has a chilling talent-hunting imaginary friends and stealing them from children. When Mr. Bunting’s pursuit of Rudger goes wrong, Amanda is tragically killed in a car accident. Now, Rudger is left alone, forced to evade not just his relentless hunter but a darker fate: if an imaginary friend is forgotten, they fade from existence forever.
