The Gymnastics Samurai - S01

Joutarou Aragaki, known as "Samurai" for his distinctive hairstyle, was at the height of his gymnastics career when a shoulder injury and the death of his wife derailed his life. Five years later, he still pushes himself as a member of Japan’s gymnastics team, but his intense training yields no improvement. His coach, Noriyuki Amakusa, suggests it’s time to retire. Determined to tell his lively nine-year-old daughter, Rei, the difficult news, Joutarou takes her to Ego Wonderland. There, they meet a strange man calling himself Leonardo, who claims to be a ninja. He trails them home and keeps interrupting Joutarou’s attempts to talk to Rei. After discovering Leonardo wants to see him perform gymnastics again, Joutarou shocks the country by declaring he won’t retire. Instead, he commits to the toughest challenge of his career, determined to show that gymnastics is where he truly belongs.
