The Case of Hana & Alice
Tetsuko "Alice" Arisugawa has just started at Ishinomori Middle School when she hears her classmates whispering about a disturbing rumor. The student who sat at her desk before her-a quiet boy nicknamed "Judas"-has vanished, and some believe he was murdered by one of his four wives. While struggling with her overbearing mother and fending off bullying classmates, Alice becomes drawn into the mystery of Judas' disappearance. Her search leads her to the home of Hana Arai, an eccentric and solitary girl who lives next door. After a clumsy first meeting, Hana offers to help, piecing together a plan to uncover the truth. As they follow the trail of clues, the two girls might just find more than answers-they might also discover an unexpected friendship.
