SHIROBAKO - S01

Five best friends-Aoi Miyamori, Ema Yasuhara, Midori Imai, Shizuka Sakaki, and Misa Toudou-met at Kaminoyama High School and bonded over their shared love of anime. They started an animation club, where they made their first amateur anime and screened it at the school festival. Inspired by the experience, they promised to chase careers in the industry, hoping to one day reunite and create a professional anime together. Two and a half years later, Aoi and Ema are working at the prestigious Musashino Animation, but the others are struggling to break into their dream fields. Shizuka can’t catch a break as a voice actor, Misa designs 3D car models in a stable but unfulfilling job, and Midori is studying hard to become a writer. As they each navigate their own obstacles, they learn that success rarely comes in a straight line-but with persistence and a little creative spark, their dreams might still be within reach.
