Scientists uncover the fossil of the legendary Pokémon Mew and use it to create Mewtwo, a powerful artificial Pokémon designed as a weapon. But as Mewtwo learns the truth about its unnatural origins, it grows bitter toward the humans who made it and sets out for vengeance. Ash, Pikachu, and their friends become caught in Mewtwo’s path of destruction.
