Paranoia Agent - S01

Musashino City lives in fear of Shounen Bat, a mysterious attacker who glides through the streets on rollerblades, striking people down with a golden baseball bat. No one can catch him-let alone make sense of his motives. The first victim, Tsukiko Sagi, a shy but famous character designer, is even accused of being behind the attacks. The only one who believes her innocence is Maromi, her pink stuffed animal companion, but she’s just one of many in Shounen Bat’s growing list of victims. Detectives Keiichi Ikari and Mitsuhiro Maniwa take on the case, but as the assaults continue, panic spreads through the city. Whispers and rumors about the golden bat-wielding assailant infect the minds of adults and children alike, twisting the town into a state of paranoia. Can the detectives uncover the truth about Shounen Bat before fear consumes them too?
