Lupin and Jigen plan to steal a huge sum of money from a New York racetrack. Their scheme is flawless, and all they have to do now is wait six days. To celebrate in advance, they head into town. Lupin leaves Jigen behind, remembering another commitment. While on his own, he rescues a girl named Michelle from a group of suspicious men. She begs Lupin to steal a diamond from her father to prevent him from carrying out evil deeds. Seeing a chance to grab both the money and the diamond in six days, Lupin agrees to protect her until then. Meanwhile, Jigen reunites with an old comrade, Ryatte, and they discuss a separate job.
