Lupin and Jigen prepare to steal a massive sum of money from a racetrack in New York. Their plan is flawless, and all that's left is to wait six days. To celebrate their impending success early, they visit a nearby town. Lupin splits off from Jigen after remembering another commitment. While alone, he rescues a girl named Michelle from suspicious pursuers. She begs Lupin to steal a diamond from her father to prevent him from committing evil acts. Seeing an opportunity to grab both the money and the diamond in six days, Lupin agrees to protect her until then. Meanwhile, Jigen reunites with an old comrade, Ryatte, and they discuss a separate job. Jigen decides to spend the next six days with Ryatte before rejoining Lupin for their original heist.
