Lensman

Kim lives a quiet life with his father, farming on their remote planet. One day, a runaway spaceship hurtles toward their farm at dangerous speeds. To save his father, Kim boards the ship and lands it just before it crashes. Inside, he finds a lone survivor, badly wounded. With his final words, the man pleads with Kim to deliver something to the Galactic Fleet. Before dying, he transfers a strange object from his arm to Kim’s-a Lens, an artifact that should have been impossible to pass on. Now bonded to it, Kim becomes a Lensman, gaining unknown abilities. The Lens also holds crucial intelligence that could help the Galactic Fleet defeat the tyrannical Boskone Empire. With the spaceship Britannia, Kim sets out to deliver the Lens. But Lord Helmet, a high-ranking officer of the Boskone Empire, will stop at nothing to intercept him.
