Legend of the Galactic Heroes: My Conquest Is the Sea of Stars

Four months before Count von Lohengramm of the Galactic Empire clashed with Yang Wen-li of the Free Planets Alliance at the Battle of Astarte, he was still known as Reinhard von Müsel. The youngest admiral in Imperial history, Reinhard faced scorn from his peers, who dismissed him as nothing more than the brother of the Kaiser’s favorite concubine. When his fleet arrived at Iserlohn Fortress, Fleet Admiral Gregor von Mückenberger-a shrewd and ambitious commander-ordered Reinhard to intercept an Alliance fleet in a nearby starzone. Reinhard knew this was a thinly veiled attempt to get him killed in battle, but he obeyed, leading his exhausted crew into combat near the gas giant Legnica. What he didn’t realize was that this would be the first of many fateful confrontations with the man later known as the Hero of El Facil.
