Land of the Lustrous - S01

In a distant and enigmatic future, crystalline beings known as Gems live in a world ravaged by six meteors. Each Gem has a purpose, fighting against the Lunarians-a hostile species that hunts them to shatter their bodies and turn them into ornaments. Phosphophyllite, or Phos, is a young, brittle Gem who longs to contribute to the war. However, due to their fragile nature, they’re assigned the tedious task of compiling an encyclopedia. Reluctantly taking on the job, Phos encounters Cinnabar, a sharp but isolated Gem forced to patrol the island alone at night because their body produces a dangerous poison. Seeing Cinnabar’s loneliness, Phos resolves to find a role where both of them can belong. "Houseki no Kuni" traces Phos’ journey to prove their worth and safeguard their fellow Gems.
