Sakura Momoko’s third-grade teacher asks the class to draw a picture inspired by their favorite song for a contest. Momoko is excited but nervous-she wants to do justice to a song she recently learned in music class. While traveling to visit family in Shizuoka, she meets Shouko Kimura, a university student who sketches portraits at the train station and is also preparing for an art contest. Momoko admires Shouko’s artwork, and when they meet again, Shouko is drawn to Momoko’s sincerity and kindness. The two form a fast friendship, each motivating the other in their own creative journeys.
