Karakuri Circus - S01
からくりサーカス
Narumi Katou is a middle-aged man living with ZONAPHA Syndrome, a strange and incurable condition that triggers violent seizures unless he witnesses someone laughing. During his part-time job, he crosses paths with Masaru Saiga, a young boy fleeing from three mysterious adults. Masaru reveals he is the heir to Saiga Enterprises after his father’s death-but his own family now wants him dead to seize the fortune. When Narumi steps in to protect the boy, he finds himself battling the pursuers, only to learn they are superhuman puppets with minds of their own. Just as he’s overpowered, a white-haired girl named Shirogane appears, summoning another puppet from Masaru’s suitcase and declaring herself his guardian. "Karakuri Circus" traces the intertwined destinies of these three individuals as they uncover a centuries-old story of love, betrayal, and the hidden war between humans and puppets.
