Hotarubi no Mori e

Six-year-old Hotaru Takegawa spends her summer vacation at her grandfather’s house and wanders into a forest said to be full of spirits. Lost and afraid, she cries for help when a masked boy named Gin appears and offers to guide her. Relieved to see someone, Hotaru rushes toward him-only for Gin to push her away. She soon learns the tragic reason: a curse binds him, and if a human ever touches him, he will vanish. Despite Gin’s warnings to stay away, Hotaru keeps coming back, and the two slowly form a deep friendship. But as they grow older and their feelings deepen, the cruel limits of his curse make their bond painfully fragile.
