Ghost in the Shell

In 2029, Niihama City stands as a pinnacle of technological progress, where cybernetic enhancements allow people to replace their limbs with advanced prosthetics. The world has grown increasingly interconnected, and Public Security Section 9 works to counter corruption, terrorism, and other emerging threats in this globalized era. Leading Section 9 is the determined Major Motoko Kusanagi, who takes on a case involving a shadowy hacker called the "Puppet Master." This criminal leaves victims with no memory of their past, and like many in this future, their body is almost entirely mechanical, granting them extraordinary abilities. As Motoko and her team pursue the elusive hacker, other factions-including Section 6-begin interfering, complicating the investigation. Wrestling with deep philosophical questions, including the meaning of her own existence, Motoko discovers that the key to these answers lies with the Puppet Master themselves.
