From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman - S02

For two decades, Beryl Gardenant has quietly run his father's sword-fighting dojo in a remote village, training countless students. Many have gone on to become exceptional swordsmen, yet Beryl stays modest, brushing off his own skill and calling himself just an old man. His former pupils disagree-including Allucia Citrus, who trained under him over ten years ago and now leads the Royal Order of Knights. Hoping to showcase her beloved teacher’s true talent, Allucia convinces her superiors to appoint Beryl as a special instructor for the Order by royal decree. She personally delivers the news, though Beryl remains unaware of her hidden intentions. With his elderly parents urging him to accept, he reluctantly agrees and moves to the capital. There, he reunites with more past students, like Surena Lysandra, now a top-ranked adventurer, and Ficelle Harbeller, a respected figure in the Magic Corps. Soon, rumors circulate: no warrior, no matter how skilled, can rival the "old man" from the countryside.
