After a devastating car accident, Joe Shimamura is taken away by mysterious men in a disguised ambulance. They deliver him to Black Ghost, a shadowy group that fuels global conflicts for profit. There, Joe is transformed into the superhuman Cyborg 009. Refusing to be tools of war, 009 and his fellow cyborgs rebel and flee, hoping to find freedom. But Black Ghost won’t give up easily-they’ll stop at nothing to reclaim the living weapons they created.
