Brynhildr in the Darkness - S01

Skeptical Ryouta Murakami and his determined friend Kuroneko set out to find proof of alien life, but their expedition ended in disaster-Kuroneko died, and Ryouta barely survived. A decade later, Ryouta is just another high school student, though he still clings to his promise to prove aliens exist in Kuroneko’s memory. Then a mysterious transfer student, Neko Kuroha, arrives. She looks uncannily like Kuroneko and even has a similar name-but stranger still, she seems to have unnatural abilities. As Ryouta grows closer to Neko, he discovers a hidden war: rogue scientists are hunting witches who escaped from a secret lab. Neko is one of them, and now Ryouta must help her and the others evade capture before it’s too late.
