Backflip!! - S01

Shoutarou Futaba has always enjoyed sports, but in middle school, he never moved past being a benchwarmer on his baseball team. One day, while watching a group of gymnasts practicing in the park, he decides on a whim to attend a rhythmic gymnastics tournament. There, he sees the Shoushukan High School Rhythmic Gymnastics Club deliver an impressive performance-yet they place second-to-last because penalties from not having a full six-member team cost them points. Mesmerized by their skill, Shoutarou enrolls at Shoushukan with the goal of joining the club, even though he has no experience in the sport. Alongside him is Ryouya Misato, a former junior tournament runner-up and a natural talent. Now with a complete roster, the team prepares for the Inter-High tournament. Shoutarou must quickly learn the fundamentals of rhythmic gymnastics while working closely with his teammates if Shoushukan hopes to compete for the championship.
