Armor Hunter Merowlink

"Armor Hunter Merowlink" is a 12-episode OVA spinoff of "Armored Trooper VOTOMS," set in the same universe but telling a standalone story. The series follows Merowlink Ality, a soldier whose unit is deliberately abandoned and left to die on the battlefield for mysterious reasons. Though he wasn’t supposed to survive, Merowlink escapes-only to be falsely accused of a crime. After breaking free from captivity, he sets out to track down his former commanders, seeking both vengeance for his fallen comrades and answers about the conspiracy that doomed them. The series is available for download on Bandai Visual’s website. The Japanese DVD boxset was released on December 6, 2006. Earlier, it was issued twice on laserdisc: first as six separate volumes, then as a three-disc box set that included the two soundtracks. A blu-ray boxset has also been released more recently.
