Anya Dostoyevskaya, a hopeful Orange Company Undine, is disappointed when she realizes her gondolier mentor, Alice Carroll, hasn’t been spending much time with her own former mentor, Athena Glory. Athena, who left the Undine life to become an opera singer, has been trying to meet with Alice, but Alice keeps avoiding her for reasons no one understands. Wanting to fix the situation, Anya teams up with fellow Undines Ai Aino and Azusa B. McLaren. As the three try to reunite Alice and Athena, Anya starts to understand her mentors’ hidden emotions-and that understanding might be what finally bridges the gap between them.
