A Silent Voice: The Movie

Shouya Ishida was a reckless elementary school student who chased away boredom with cruelty. When Shouko Nishimiya, a deaf girl, joins his class, Shouya and his classmates mindlessly bully her for amusement. But after her mother complains to the school, Shouya is singled out as the sole culprit. With Shouko gone, he becomes the target of relentless ostracism, ignored by teachers and shunned by peers all through elementary and middle school. Now in his third year of high school, Shouya is still tormented by guilt over his childhood actions. Determined to atone, he seeks out Shouko to apologize and make things right. "Koe no Katachi" follows Shouya's journey as he reunites with Shouko and strives for redemption, even as the ghosts of his past refuse to let him go.
