After years of rivalry, the leaders of Osaka's Somei and Tokyo's Miyama yakuza clans agree to a truce by arranging a marriage between their grandchildren, Yoshino Somei and Kirishima Miyama. Seventeen-year-old Yoshino moves to Tokyo to live with the Miyama family and attend school with her new fiancé. Kirishima seems pleasant and polite, but something about his behavior feels off to Yoshino. Her doubts are soon justified: behind his proper manners, Kirishima is a violent masochist. He hurts others without hesitation and enjoys being humiliated or hurt in return. What he truly desires is a spoiled, cruel fiancée who will make his life miserable. When Yoshino doesn’t fit that mold, he drops the act and cruelly insults her. Instead of fleeing, though, Yoshino vows revenge-she’ll make him fall in love with her, then crush his heart without mercy.
