The defense group "Border" was formed to protect against invasions by the "Neighbors," mysterious beings with extraordinary abilities. Osamu Mikumo, a Border agent, teams up with Yuma Kuga-a Neighbor he encounters unexpectedly-and his childhood friend Chika Ametori to form the Mikumo Squad. Together, they aim to climb the ranks within Border so they can join the mission to the Neighbors' world.
