World, Before You End

After Mount Fuji erupted, much of Japan was buried under layers of ash, which still drifts down like snow. With another eruption looming, many have evacuated, but some-unable or unwilling to leave-stay shut inside their homes. Rui Satou is one of them, a high school student who passes the time making friends online between classes. He strikes up a conversation with Michiru, and the two grow close fast. Despite her living nearer the danger zone, Rui decides to meet her in person. But when they finally come face to face, he realizes their connection runs deeper-and is far stranger-than he ever expected.
