Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss But I'm Not the Demon Lord - S01

The story of "Light Magic and the Hero," an otome RPG, starts off predictably enough: the protagonist, Alicia Ehnleit, encounters her three potential love interests in succession before confronting the villainess. Yumiella Dolkness, though noble-born, has dark hair and rare dark-type magic-both traits linked to the Demon Lord-which make people fear her. At age five, Yumiella recalls her past life in modern Japan and learns she’s destined to become the hidden boss who appears after Alicia and her suitors defeat the Demon Lord. Unwilling to follow the game’s script and more interested in its fantasy aspects than romance, Yumiella quietly trains her magic and levels up in secret. But her plans unravel during the Royal Academy’s entrance ceremony when her power is revealed to be level 99-a feat considered impossible even for seasoned knights, much less a 15-year-old girl. With the royal family asking for her aid and others demanding proof of her strength, Yumiella sees her hopes for a peaceful life slipping away.
