Branded as rebels by Gallia and pursued by the Empire, they struggle to survive in the chaos. Their situation worsens when Gusurg, their tank driver, deserts them to join the Empire. After freeing a small town from Imperial control, the Nameless encounter Isara Welkin, an injured tank driver from Gallia's Squad 7.
