Tougen Anki - S01

In ancient times, monstrous beings called Oni slaughtered humans and sowed destruction purely for their own amusement. A lone warrior, Momotarou, stood against these nearly unstoppable horrors, but the fight against them had only just begun. Thousands of years later, hotheaded gun enthusiast Shiki Ichinose lives an easygoing life-until he’s expelled from school, and everything turns upside down. After a sudden attack by a mysterious man, Shiki is saved by his adoptive father, Tsuyoshi. As they escape, Tsuyoshi reveals the truth: Shiki is descended from the Oni, while both Tsuyoshi and their attacker belong to the Momotarou bloodline. The two Momotarou warriors engage in a brutal fight, and Tsuyoshi gives his life to protect Shiki. Overwhelmed by grief, Shiki awakens to his Oni heritage, gaining incredible power at the price of losing control. Though the enemy flees, Naito Mudano, an Oni instructor at Rasetsu Academy, takes notice of Shiki. With Mudano’s help, Shiki must master the Oni blood within him-or he’ll never get the chance to avenge his father.
