The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest - S01

When a child is born, they randomly receive one of four "crests" that determine their magical potential. Gaius, a man blessed with a crest specializing in creation, rose to become the world's strongest sage. Yet despite his unmatched power, he longed for a crest suited for close combat-something his fate denied him. Knowing crests cannot be changed, he chose to reincarnate millennia into the future, hoping for a second chance. Thousands of years later, Gaius is reborn as Mathias Hildesheimer, finally obtaining the crest he desired. But he soon realizes magic has drastically declined in this era, and the legendary techniques of his past are nearly forgotten. To his dismay, the crest he sacrificed so much for is now scorned as the weakest-dubbed the "Crest of Failure." Undeterred, Mathias shatters all expectations. After enrolling in the royal capital's Second Academy, he effortlessly overcomes every challenge. Yet his triumphs lead him to uncover the grim truth behind humanity's magical decline: demons. Now, Mathias must confront the consequences of his long absence and set things right.
