The Snow Queen - S01
This retelling is based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic children's story. Gerda and Kai grew up as neighbors and close friends. Gerda is eleven, Kai twelve-happy children who played and worked like any others. But everything changed when the Snow Queen's mirror shattered, scattering pieces across the world. Each shard carried malice, and if one entered a person's eye, their heart would freeze. A shard pierced Kai's eye, turning him cold toward everyone he loved. One night, the Snow Queen arrived in her carriage and took Kai away to her ice palace in the farthest north. The villagers, unaware of what happened, assumed he had drowned in the frozen lake. Only Gerda refused to believe it-she had dreamed of seeing Kai climb into the carriage. When a drunken man confesses he witnessed the same thing, Gerda realizes her vision may have been real. Determined, she sets out on a journey to find Kai and bring him home.
