The Great Passage - S01

Kouhei Araki, a longtime editor in Genbu Publishing's dictionary division, is preparing to retire so he can focus on caring for his sick wife. But before he leaves, he needs to find someone to take over his current project: a new dictionary titled "The Great Passage". The work demands immense patience and dedication, and despite searching everywhere, Araki struggles to find a suitable replacement. Mitsuya Majime works in the company's sales department, though his awkwardness and difficulty reading social cues make the job a poor fit. What he lacks in people skills, he makes up for with a deep passion for words, nurtured by his love of reading and meticulous nature. Recognizing Majime's potential, Araki recruits him for the dictionary team. Though Majime doubts his own abilities and worries about fitting in with his new colleagues, the shared task of compiling "The Great Passage" gradually bridges the gaps between them.
